Melodrama: Maria Wronska is a master thief who wants to quit the business. On her way to Gdynia on the transatlantic, Maria is rescued from the sea by a man, Piotr, after the ship goes down, who falls in love with her. Then, the authorities arrive to arrest her...

Melodramat: Aferzystka Maria Wronska, po ostatniej kradziezy brylantow, postanawia zerwac z dotychczasowym zyciem. Nie zezwala jej na to szef bandy Filip. Transatlantyk, ktorym Maria plynie do Gdyni, ulega katastrofie u wybrzezy Helu. Z morza wyciaga ja latarnik Piotr. Zakochuje sie w niej z wzajemnoscia. Maria zostaje aresztowana; po odbyciu kary rozpoczyna nowe zycie u boku Piotra. Zrecznie zrealizowany melodramat o naiwnej, moralizatorskiej tresci. Widac w nim wyrazne wplywy amerykanskiego kina realistycznego lat trzydziestych.
