Item Description

This was the first movie made after World War II; it is a story of songs sung by all of Warsaw during the German occupation. A stirring tale of the heroic underground fighters, their lives and deaths, and those things which sustained them in their epic struggle for freedom.

Pierwszy powojenny film fabularny. Historia okupowanej Warszawy i piosenek spiewanych przez jej mieszkancow. Piosenek, ktore podnosily na duchu ludnosc, pomagaly przetrwac trudne chwile zwatpienia i depresji. Pierwsza edycja dluzszej, odrestaurowanej wersji.

Cast: Danuta Szaflarska, Jerzy Duszynski.
