The film takes place in a small, Polish village at the beginning of the 80s. This is where the Koledowie family lives. Ms. Koleda is the head of the local community. Her husband grows flowers in a greenhouse and breeds ducks. They also have a pretty, unemployed daughter.
One day Ms. Koleda finds out she is soon going to become a grandmother. The fear of losing her authority and being involved in a scandal leads her to come up with a really devilish plan.
